Oneworld has retained its position as the “Best Airline Alliance” at the Business Traveller awards ceremony, marking its 12th consecutive year winning the prestigious title.

The alliance, currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, received the accolade during yesterday’s ceremony at The Steel Yard in London, where Paul Noon, Oneworld Director of Business Transformation, accepted the award.

The recognition comes following Oneworld’s recent expansion of its lounge network, with the alliance launching its first branded facilities at Amsterdam’s Schiphol and Seoul’s Incheon airports earlier this year.

“We are honored to be named as the Best Airline Alliance for the 12th year running by the readers of Business Traveller,” said Nat Pieper, Oneworld CEO. “The past 12 months have been extremely exciting for us here at Oneworld, as we celebrated our 25th anniversary and opened our first-ever branded lounges.”

Member airlines also achieved significant recognition at the ceremony. Qatar Airways secured four awards, including “Best Long-Haul Airline,” “Best Business Class,” “Best Middle Eastern Airline,” and “Best Inflight Food and Beverage.”

British Airways, a founding member of the alliance, won three categories: “Best Short-Haul Carrier,” “Best Frequent Flyer Programme,” and “Best Airport Lounge” for its Concorde Room in Heathrow Terminal 5.

The Business Traveller awards, a cornerstone event in the travel industry for over three decades, are determined by reader votes and verified by an independent auditing company. Other Oneworld members, including American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, and Royal Air Maroc, were named as finalists across various categories.
