The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines and Asian Business Aviation Association will host the 2025 Philippine Aviation Summit on October 8-9 at the Marriott Hotel Manila in Pasay City.

The event will address infrastructure development, public-private partnerships, foreign investment opportunities, regulatory reforms, workforce development, and aviation sustainability under the theme “Steady Flight: Philippine Aviation into the Global Arena.”

Confirmed speakers include Christina Garcia Frasco, Secretary of the Department of Tourism; Jim Sydiongco, Undersecretary for Aviation and Airports at the Department of Transportation; Samuel David, IATA Country Manager for the Philippines; Kurt Edwards, Director General of the International Business Aviation Council; Joseph Alcazar, President of Clark International Airport Corporation; and Carmelo L. Arcilla, Executive Director of the Civil Aeronautics Board.

Philippine Airlines will serve as Co-Presenter and Official Carrier for the summit. Supporting organizations include the Department of Tourism, Department of Transportation, OnePH Aviation, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, Embassy of Sweden in Manila, Embassy of Spain in the Philippines, Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, Cebu Pacific, and Skytrack Aviation Services.

The summit occurs as the Philippine aviation industry undergoes regulatory reforms, including full foreign ownership provisions under the amended Public Service Act. The country operates 90 airports, ranking second in ASEAN by airport count, with nine major airport projects currently in development.

The Business and General Aviation sector maintains a fleet exceeding 600 aircraft supporting energy, mining, and emergency response operations. Air traffic management and airport infrastructure modernization efforts continue across the industry.

The ECCP, which organized the event, represents nearly 900 members and promotes European-Philippine trade and investment relationships. The chamber maintains ties with government branches and advocates for competitive business environments.
