Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to bring back its seasonal nonstop flights between Manila and Sapporo, reconnecting Filipino and Japanese travelers during the upcoming winter season.
Starting November 24, 2025, PAL will operate thrice-weekly flights—every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday—until March 27, 2026. The flights will utilize the airline’s Airbus A321neo aircraft, which offers 12 business class and 156 economy class seats, along with inflight entertainment and Wi-Fi connectivity.
We are thrilled to announce the reopening of our direct flights from Manila to Sapporo, which will help us strengthen both bilateral relations and cultural ties with our Japanese counterparts. This route not only provides a convenient travel option for Filipino tourists and overseas workers, but also opens doors for Japanese travelers to explore and experience the Philippines’ vibrant culture and warm hospitality.
Richard Nuttall, Philippine Airlines President
The seasonal service revives PAL’s previous operations on the route, which last flew between December 2018 and March 2020. The airline also confirmed that this seasonal offering will return annually every winter, from November to March.
Sapporo, the capital of Hokkaido, is popular among Filipino and international travelers for its ski resorts, winter festivals, and local cuisine. The timing of the route aligns with the city’s peak tourism season, including the famed Sapporo Snow Festival.
PAL continues to lead the Philippines-Japan market, offering nonstop flights to Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, along with direct services from Cebu to Tokyo and Osaka.
