Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced it will increase flight frequency between Manila and Seattle to five weekly services starting November 25, 2025. The expansion comes just one year after the route’s inaugural launch in October 2024.

The flag carrier will add new Tuesday and Thursday departures from both Manila and Seattle. This brings the total service schedule to five times weekly, operating every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

The Manila-Seattle route remains the only direct airline connection between the Philippines and the U.S. Pacific Northwest. PAL operates the service using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which accommodate 370 passengers with 42 business class and 328 economy class seats.

“Our decision to increase frequencies to Seattle highlights the importance of the U.S. market to the Philippine Airlines global network, and in particular the great value of Seattle as a gateway, not just to the Washington and Oregon areas, but to cities across the United States that we can now serve through our ongoing partnership with Alaska Airlines,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall.

Enhanced connectivity and partnerships

The expanded schedule offers travelers greater flexibility when planning trips. Passengers can access seamless connections to PAL’s extensive network across the Philippines, Southeast Asia, North Asia, and Greater China.

Through PAL’s partnership with Alaska Airlines, travelers can also connect to numerous U.S. destinations. The Alaska Airlines hub at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport serves as the largest airline hub on the entire U.S. West Coast.

“We are focusing strongly on developing this growing market to help Americans plan their vacation trips to the Philippines and other Asian countries, to open up more opportunities for businesses to build up commercial activities, and for Filipino Americans to reunite more often with their families back in the home country,” Nuttall added.

The frequency increase will bring a substantial boost in cargo capacity of up to 40 tons per week between Manila and Seattle. This additional capacity connects to various U.S. states through interline airline and trucking partnerships, supporting growing trade between the two countries.

With Seattle, PAL now serves eight destinations in the U.S. and Canada. The airline offers nonstop flights to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, Honolulu, and Guam.

Flight schedule

Starting November 25, 2025, the Manila-Seattle route will operate with the following schedule:

  • PR124 Manila – Seattle (Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sun)
    • Departs Manila: 2240H
    • Arrives Seattle: 1935H or 1835H (daylight savings, same day)
