Jetstar Airways is expanding its international network, announcing two new direct routes connecting Australia and the Philippines scheduled to launch later this year. The new services will add over 108,000 low-fare seats annually between the two countries.

Starting November 27, 2025, the airline will operate year-round flights between Perth (PER) and Manila (MNL). A seasonal service from Brisbane (BNE) to Cebu (CEB) is set to begin on December 3, 2025. Both routes will be operated three times a week.

The new connections will utilize Jetstar’s next-generation Airbus A321LR aircraft. These newer planes are known for being quieter and more fuel-efficient, enabling low-cost carriers like Jetstar to service longer routes more economically.

This expansion is part of a broader growth strategy for the airline, which has launched or announced 20 new routes since June 2024. This growth is supported by its investment in new Airbus A321LR and A320neo aircraft.

Stephanie Tully, Jetstar Group CEO, commented on the airline’s continued growth in Asia.

“The launch of low fares direct flights to the Philippines is an exciting milestone, unlocking two amazing destinations for Aussie travellers,” Tully said. “From the pristine beaches of Cebu to the vibrant energy of Manila, these new routes offer greater value options for an overseas holiday.”

She added, “As demand for low-cost international travel continues to grow, our pipeline of new aircraft is helping us deliver even more low fares to new destinations – so our customers can take off more, for less.”

Officials from Brisbane Airport also welcomed the new Cebu service.

“We know Queenslanders love to experience new destinations and Cebu will deliver in spades with gorgeous islands and people, rich Spanish colonial history, and vibrant street food culture, it is a tropical getaway waiting to be discovered,” said Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff.

“It also strengthens important ties for Queensland’s large Filipino community, making it easier to connect with family, while boosting trade and business between two regions,” de Graaff stated. “This new route marks Brisbane Airport’s 34th direct international connection, which is the most ever, continuing our commitment to expanding travel opportunities and bringing the world closer to Queensland.”

To celebrate the launch, Jetstar has introduced promotional one-way fares starting from $188 for Brisbane-Cebu and $199 for Perth-Manila. The sale is now open at jetstar.com, with the Brisbane sale ending on July 17 and the Perth sale ending on July 18, 2025, unless sold out prior.

The proposed flight schedules are as follows, subject to government and regulatory approval.
