Qatar Airways has been named the World’s Best Airline for 2025, marking the ninth time the carrier has received the top prize. The announcement was made at the Skytrax World Airline Awards ceremony held at the Paris Air Show, an event widely regarded as the “Oscars of the aviation industry.”

The awards are based on a global passenger satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax from September 2024 to May 2025, which included votes from over 100 customer nationalities and featured more than 325 airlines.

In addition to the main award, Qatar Airways also won World’s Best Business Class and World’s Best Business Class Airline Lounge. Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, Qatar Airways Group CEO, described the achievement as an “extraordinary honor” and a “celebration of the passion, precision and purpose that defines who we are as an airline.”

Singapore Airlines ranked second globally, also winning awards for the World’s Best Cabin Crew and World’s Best First Class. Cathay Pacific Airways secured third place, followed by Emirates at number four and ANA All Nippon Airways in fifth.
