Philippine Airlines (PAL) is ushering in a new era of modern air travel distribution with the launch of its New Distribution Capability (NDC) platform, powered by global travel technology provider Amadeus.

The new NDC platform allows PAL to offer greater personalization and transparency in flight bookings. Travel agencies and partners can now access a wider range of options—from preferred seating and extra baggage to in-flight meals—tailored to the traveler’s needs.

“We are excited to pioneer this modern distribution solution in the country,” said Justin Warby, PAL Vice President for Sales and Distribution. “This undertaking is in line with PAL’s commitment to modernize distribution methods and deliver benefits for distribution partners and customers.”

Partners can connect with PAL’s NDC through three channels:

  • Connect API for seamless travel agency system integration
  • Connect Hub, a ready-to-use portal for agents
  • Connect +, for access via aggregator platforms

The system will initially roll out in major international markets, including the United States, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Importantly, PAL’s NDC platform will operate alongside the existing Global Distribution System (GDS), allowing for a smooth and flexible transition for agencies and customers.

With this move, PAL joins over 60 global carriers adopting the NDC standard.
