Air India has announced the launch of direct flights between Delhi and Manila, marking a significant milestone in India-Philippines connectivity. The service will commence on October 1, 2025, making Air India the only carrier to operate non-stop flights between the two countries.
The new route will operate five times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays using the airline’s Airbus A321neo aircraft. The aircraft features a three-class configuration offering Business Class, Premium Economy, and Economy options for travelers.
The route launch coincides with the Philippines’ recent introduction of visa-free entry for Indian tourists for up to 14 days. This policy change significantly enhances accessibility for Indian travelers seeking to explore destinations like Boracay’s beaches, Palawan’s landscapes, and Cebu’s historical sites.
Campbell Wilson, Air India’s CEO and Managing Director, highlighted the route’s importance in connecting India with more global destinations. He noted that outbound travel from India is growing at an unprecedented pace, with Indian tourists ranking among the highest spenders globally.
“We are happy to facilitate new opportunities for cultural exchange and economic collaboration between the two nations, while bringing the new Air India to more travellers around the world,” he added.
The Delhi-Manila flight (AI-2362) will depart at 1:20 PM local time, arriving at 10:40 PM Manila time. The return flight (AI-2361) leaves Manila at 11:40 PM, reaching Delhi at 3:50 AM the following day.
The new route supports expanding bilateral trade between India and the Philippines, which reached $3.53 billion in 2023-24. This represents nearly double the $1.89 billion recorded in 2015-16, according to the Embassy of India in Manila.
Air India’s Manila service also provides seamless one-stop connectivity from Europe via Delhi, expanding travel options for international passengers.
Reservations for the Delhi-Manila route are now open across all Air India channels, including the airline’s website, mobile app, airport offices, contact centers, and authorized travel agents.
The route launch is part of Air India’s broader expansion under its five-year transformation program, Vihaan.AI, following its return to Tata Sons ownership in 2022.
