Cebu Pacific announced strong passenger traffic for April 2025, carrying 2.3 million passengers during the month. This figure represents a significant 18.3% increase compared to April 2024. The airline also reported a healthy seat load factor (SLF) of 83.8%, achieved amidst a 20.1% growth in overall seat capacity.

On the domestic front, Cebu Pacific saw passenger numbers grow by 13.8% year-over-year, flying 1.67 million domestic travelers according to detailed figures. This growth was supported by a 17.3% increase in available domestic seats. The seat load factor for domestic flights stood at a strong 85.7% for April 2025.

International operations showed particularly strong momentum. Passenger traffic surged by an impressive 32.2% compared to the previous year, with the airline flying 616,000 international passengers. This growth in demand outpaced the 27.7% increase in international seat capacity, leading to a 2.7 percentage point improvement in international SLF to 79.0%.

The positive trend extends to the year-to-date figures for 2025. From January to April, Cebu Pacific flew 9.2 million passengers, marking a 24.2% increase from the 7.4 million carried during the same period in 2024. The overall SLF for the first four months of the year improved to 84.6%, up 0.4 percentage points from the previous year, even as total seat capacity expanded by 23.6%.

Mark Cezar, Chief Financial Officer of Cebu Pacific, commented on the performance: “Passenger traffic performance remains strong with continued growth in passenger volumes and high seat load factors.” He highlighted that “International passenger numbers have increased by over 32% year over year, outpacing capacity expansion.”

Cezar further added, “These positive trends reinforce our favorable outlook for the second quarter. We are committed to optimizing our capacity to meet the rising consumer demand while managing engine and supply chain challenges.”
