Philippine Airlines (PAL) has announced the launch of nonstop flights between Manila and Da Nang, commencing July 1, 2025. This new service will initially operate three times a week, connecting the Philippine capital to the gateway of Central Vietnam’s heritage sites.

This marks the third significant expansion for PAL in Vietnam this year. The airline recently increased its Manila-Hanoi service to daily flights and is set to launch a new Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City route on May 2nd. Historically, PAL was the first Asian airline to operate regular flights to Vietnam, starting back in September 1986.

“We at Philippine Airlines are excited to strengthen our close relationship with the Vietnamese people with the introduction of direct Manila-Da Nang flights,” said PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng. He added that PAL is committed to boosting tourism and commerce between the two cities.

PAL will operate the Manila-Da Nang route using Airbus A321ceo aircraft, configured with up to 199 seats across business and economy class. The airline highlights its convenient daytime schedule, allowing travelers to maximize their time upon arrival in Da Nang.

Flights will depart Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The return flights from Da Nang International Airport (DAD) will operate on the same days.

Flight Schedule (Effective July 1, 2025):

  • PR-585: Manila (MNL) 11:10 AM – Da Nang (DAD) 12:45 PM (Tue/Thu/Sat)
  • PR-586: Da Nang (DAD) 1:35 PM – Manila (MNL) 5:10 PM (Tue/Thu/Sat)

This new service adds to PAL’s existing Vietnam network, which includes daily flights between Manila and Hanoi, eight weekly flights between Manila and Ho Chi Minh City, and the upcoming Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City service.

It’s worth noting that Cebu Pacific currently operates daily flights between Manila and Da Nang, having launched the route in December 2023, initially as a thrice-weekly service.

Passengers interested in booking flights can visit the Philippine Airlines website (www.philippineairlines.com), use the PAL mobile app, call the hotline at (+632) 8855-8888, or contact accredited travel agents.
