Zipair Tokyo, a subsidiary of Japan Airlines, has announced plans to expand its service between Tokyo Narita and two North American destinations – Vancouver and San Jose – for the summer 2025 season.

The additional Vancouver service will operate from May 8 to August 14, 2025, with a new Thursday flight added to the existing Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday schedule. The new flight will depart Narita at 3:40 p.m. and arrive in Vancouver at 8:15 a.m., with the return flight leaving Vancouver at 10:15 a.m. and arriving at Narita at 12:25 p.m. the following day.

For the San Jose route, Zipair will add a Tuesday flight from May 6 to August 12, 2025, complementing its current Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday operations. The new Tuesday service will depart Narita at 3:50 p.m. and arrive in San Jose at 9:05 a.m., with the return flight departing San Jose at 11:05 a.m. and arriving at Narita at 2:15 p.m. the next day.

The airline notes that between July 3-August 14 for Vancouver and July 1-August 12 for San Jose, slight schedule adjustments will occur. All flight schedules remain subject to relevant government approvals.

Zipair continues to offer three fare types for these routes: ZIP Full-Flat, Standard, and U6 Standard. One-way fares from Vancouver to Narita start at CAD 165 for U6 Standard, CAD 411 for Standard, and CAD 1,661 for ZIP Full-Flat. From San Jose to Narita, fares begin at USD 124 for U6 Standard, USD 408 for Standard, and USD 1,633 for ZIP Full-Flat.

All fares include a maximum of 7 kilogram carry-on baggage allowance, with no fuel surcharge. Additional fees apply for optional services such as checked baggage and inflight meals.

Tickets for these new services will be available for sale starting February 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time. Travelers can visit Zipair’s official website for additional details and fare information.
