Delta Air Lines is expanding its Shake Shack burger service to flights departing from Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia, and Seattle. First Class passengers on flights over 900 miles can now enjoy the premium burger option.

The expansion follows a successful December 2024 launch in Boston, where Delta has served over 10,000 burgers. The Shake Shack meal features a 100% Angus beef patty with cheese on a toasted potato bun, accompanied by chips, a Caesar salad, and a chocolate brownie.

“Customers are raving about the Shake Shack experience onboard our flights after serving more than 10,000 burgers out of Boston since launching in December,” said Stephanie Laster, Managing Director of Onboard Service at Delta.

This image shows the complete Shake Shack meal being served on Delta Air Lines' First Class flights. At the center is a Shake Shack cheeseburger with an Angus beef patty and melted cheese on a toasted potato bun, presented on branded Shake Shack packaging. Surrounding the burger are the meal components: a Caesar salad in a cup, potato chips, and a small dish with burger toppings including lettuce, tomato slices, cucumber, and what appears to be ShackSauce. A Dark Chocolate Brownie is packaged separately as dessert. Completing the meal is a glass of beer. The presentation shows how Delta has adapted the popular restaurant experience for in-flight dining at 35,000 feet.

Passengers can customize their burgers with toppings including tomato, lettuce, and Shake Shack’s signature ShackSauce.

To celebrate, Delta is partnering with Uber Eats to offer SkyMiles members a “buy one ShackBurger, get one free” promotion through March 14 when they join the Delta x Uber waitlist by March 6.

First Class customers can select the Shake Shack Cheeseburger as their entrée up to 24 hours before their flight using the Fly Delta app, with Delta hinting at further expansions in the future.
