Emirates has announced a significant expansion of its network in Asia with the addition of three new destinations: Shenzhen in China, Da Nang in Vietnam, and Siem Reap in Cambodia. According to the airline’s press release dated March 7, these new routes will commence operations in mid-2025.
The Dubai-based carrier will launch daily non-stop flights between Dubai and Shenzhen starting July 1, 2025, making it the first Middle Eastern airline to operate to this Chinese technology hub. This addition marks Emirates’ fourth gateway into mainland China, complementing its existing services to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
“Our expansion into Shenzhen opens new doors for business and economic exchange between this technological powerhouse and global markets,” said Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer Adnan Kazim. The airline’s two-decade partnership with China began in 2002 when it became the first airline to establish direct air connectivity between the Middle East and the Chinese mainland.

Shenzhen will be the first destination in China to be served with Emirates’ retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER, featuring the airline’s latest Business Class seats and its Premium Economy product. The four-class aircraft offers 8 private suites in First Class, 40 lie-flat seats in Business Class, 24 Premium Economy seats, and 260 seats in Economy Class.
For Vietnam, Emirates will introduce four weekly services to Da Nang via Bangkok beginning June 2. This becomes the airline’s third destination in Vietnam after Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays with a two-class Boeing 777-300ER.

Siem Reap, home to Cambodia’s famous Angkor Wat temple complex, will receive three weekly Emirates flights starting June 3. These services will also operate via Bangkok on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, utilizing the same two-class Boeing 777-300ER configuration.
The timing of these flights has been optimized to provide convenient connections to major European cities including London, Paris, and Rome, as well as key destinations in the United States. Premium passengers connecting through Bangkok can enjoy Emirates’ newly expanded lounge.
With these additions, Emirates will offer an impressive 269 flights per week from Dubai to 24 destinations in East Asia. This expansion puts the airline ahead of other non-Asian carriers in terms of network breadth in the region.
“We remain committed to offering business and leisure travelers unparalleled access to Southeast Asia and the broader East Asia region by delivering an extensive flight schedule,” Kazim added.
Tickets for these new destinations are available for booking on emirates.com, the Emirates App, or through travel agents.
