CAAP grounds Pilipinas Space Aviation Academy after fatal Cessna crash

Two pilots perish in training aircraft accident; investigation underway

A Cessna 152 aircraft operated by Pilipinas Space Aviation Academy Inc. crashed this morning in Lingayen, Pangasinan, resulting in the deaths of both pilots on board. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) confirmed the incident occurred at approximately 8:01 AM local time.

The aircraft, bearing registration number RP-C8595, made a crash landing under circumstances that remain under investigation. Both occupants were rushed to a nearby hospital but were pronounced dead shortly after.

In response to the incident, CAAP has ordered the immediate grounding of all aircraft operated by Pilipinas Space Aviation Academy Inc. This safety measure will remain in effect while authorities conduct a formal investigation into the cause of the crash.

The names of the deceased pilots have not been released pending notification of their families. Officials have not specified whether the flight was a training session or what factors might have contributed to the accident.

CAAP officials have stated that further updates will be provided as more details become available from the ongoing investigation.
