American Airlines is introducing an array of new dining options across its network—a welcome enhancement to its onboard and lounge dining experience.

The rollout begins March 4 at select Admirals Club lounges and extends to in-flight service starting March 12. This refresh brings a particularly exciting addition – the national launch of all-American sliders and fries for pre-order on short-haul domestic flights, following successful testing at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
Premium cabin passengers will see five new breakfast options, including a white cheddar and Monterey Jack omelet and a smothered veggie and cheese frittata. These offerings reflect American’s commitment to diverse dining choices for its passengers.
The Admirals Club lounges are embracing local flavors with regionally inspired menus. Travelers can expect unique offerings like build-your-own tacos in Miami, Argentina beef empanada in Dallas, and edamame shrimp teriyaki in Nashville.
“As spring travel heats up, our customers are eager to see new food and drinks across our menus,” said Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer. She noted that while warm comfort foods dominate winter menus, spring brings a shift toward fresh fruits and vegetables.

In a notable enhancement to its loyalty program, starting March 19, AAdvantage members will have the option to use their miles for food and beverage purchases during eligible flights. This adds to the existing benefit of using miles for One-Day Admirals Club passes.

The beverage program is also seeing significant updates, with new premium spirits including Still Gin, Casamigos Añejo Tequila, and Horse Soldier Bourbon being added to the lounge offerings. For non-alcoholic options, travelers can try the new rotating mocktail selection, featuring the Peachy Keen this March.
