Cebu Pacific has significantly expanded operations at its Davao hub, increasing flight frequencies and seat capacity in January 2025 compared to the same period last year.
Candice Iyog, Cebu Pacific’s Chief Marketing & Customer Experience Officer, said the airline recorded 2.5 million inbound and outbound passengers through its Davao hub in 2024—an increase of 460,000 passengers from the previous year.
“Ultimately, the goal is to add more flights,” Iyog said, highlighting Davao’s growing importance as a key domestic and international gateway in Mindanao.
She added that Cebu Pacific’s team is meeting with industry stakeholders today to present its latest performance figures and secure support to sustain these expanded routes.

In January 2025 alone, Cebu Pacific operated 1,626 flights from Davao, marking a 44% increase from the 1,128 flights flown in January 2024. The airline also expanded seat offerings, providing 334,091 seats—up 76% from the 190,014 available the previous year.
The airline remains bullish in the Davao market. According to AUP’s research, direct flights to Bangkok (Don Mueang) will increase from three to four times weekly starting March 30. Additionally, the airline is expanding its Davao-Siargao service by adding two more weekly flights to its current daily schedule beginning next week.
Cebu Pacific currently serves 12 domestic and two international destinations from Davao. The airline also launched six new routes from the hub in the last quarter, further strengthening connectivity in the region.
If AUP has exclusive access to meetings with Candice Iyog and Alexander Lao, I hope AUP could also ask for future plans regarding Davao routes development and expansion. CebPac has surprisingly ramped up their Iloilo network; it’s an indication that they have the ability to further expand their Davao network as well. Please work on insider news about Davao, AUP. I’ve heard they have plans to reinstate turboprop flights to Dipolog and Surigao, and also launch flights to Korea and Japan. I hope AUP could confirm this. Thank you, AUP. We appreciate your work.
