Budget carrier AirAsia Philippines has launched a Lunar New Year sale, offering one-way base fares starting at PHP 122 to select destinations.

The promotion, which the airline is calling its “2.2 Sale,” runs from January 27 to February 2, 2025, and is valid for travel between January 27 and July 31, 2025.

The sale includes both domestic and international destinations. Passengers can book flights to popular tourist spots such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka. Domestic destinations included in the promotion are Iloilo, Boracay, and Puerto Princesa.

Over 500,000 seats are available for booking through the AirAsia MOVE App.

“AirAsia Philippines has seen a strong start to the year with a significant increase in seat sales including the previous three consecutive promos for the month of January, recording a high demand for our top domestic routes. This positive trend will further drive us in providing accessible air travel options for Filipinos,” said AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head, First Officer Steve Dailisan.

The announcement coincides with the Civil Aeronautics Board’s (CAB) decision to maintain the fuel surcharge at Level 4 for both domestic and international flights from February 1 to 28, 2025. This marks the fifth consecutive month the surcharge has remained stable.

Domestic flight surcharges under Level 4 range from PHP 117 to PHP 342, while international flight surcharges range from PHP 385.70 to PHP 2,867.82, depending on the destination.

“We are confident that this positive momentum, coupled with the decision to maintain the fuel surcharge at Level 4 throughout February, will further stimulate travel demand among our kababayans,” Dailisan added.
