National flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) relaunched its Clark-Siargao route on December 3, 2024, further expanding its domestic network from Central Luzon. The inaugural flight, PR-2875, was celebrated with a ceremony at Clark International Airport (CRK).
PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang stated the thrice weekly service provides convenient travel options for residents and tourists in Central and Northern Luzon.
“We are proud of this returning service. Our thrice weekly service will provide ease and convenience for residents and tourists in Central and Northern Luzon since there is no need for land travel to Metro Manila to connect to Siargao. Residents of the island will be able to explore other parts of the country via our flights out of Clark,” Ang said.
Ang also expressed gratitude to stakeholders, including Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation (LIPAD), Clark Development Corporation (CDC), Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC), the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), and the Department of Tourism (DOT).
LIPAD President and CEO Noel Manankil highlighted the timing of the relaunch, coinciding with the holiday season. Manankil also noted CRK’s recent recognition as Travel Trade International Airport of the Year.
“The inauguration of the Philippine Airlines route from Clark to Siargao comes at a perfect time as we approach the holiday season, when many of us are eager to reunite with loved ones and explore new destinations. What a wonderful idea it will be to spend the holidays by the beach,” Manankil said.
Siargao is a popular surfing destination known for its world-class waves. PAL will operate the route using its 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft.
Flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. PR-2875 departs Clark at 11:00 a.m., arriving in Siargao at 1:05 p.m. PR-2876 departs Siargao at 1:35 p.m., arriving in Clark at 3:40 p.m.
Siargao joins PAL’s existing Clark routes to Cebu, Basco, Busuanga (Coron), and Boracay (Caticlan). PAL also flies twice daily to Siargao from Manila and Cebu, bringing the total weekly flights to Siargao to 31.
