Budget carrier Cebu Pacific is advising passengers to prepare for increased travel volume this holiday season with a series of recommendations aimed at streamlining the airport experience.

Passengers flying into or out of Manila should note the distinction between Cebu Pacific (5J) and Cebgo (DG) flights. 5J flights, operated by larger jet aircraft, use Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. DG flights, operated by smaller turboprop aircraft, now operate from NAIA Terminal 2. All Cebgo flights to and from Manila have been relocated to Terminal 2 since November.

To mitigate potential delays caused by heavy traffic, Cebu Pacific recommends arriving at the airport at least three hours prior to domestic flight departures and four hours before international flights. Those traveling to Dubai can check in as early as seven hours before their flight. Check-in counters close 45 minutes before domestic flights and one hour before international flights. Boarding begins 45 minutes before scheduled departure.

The airline encourages passengers to use online check-in via the Cebu Pacific mobile app or website, available from 48 hours up to one hour before domestic departures and up to four hours before international departures. Passengers who check in online and do not have checked baggage can proceed directly to boarding gates at NAIA Terminal 3, using Gate 1, upon presenting their digital boarding pass.

For international travelers, the airline emphasizes the need to register or update eTravel forms within 72 hours of their departure from and arrival into the Philippines. Passengers should save the QR code generated after completing the form, which is required at immigration counters. A separate eTravel form must be completed for both departure and arrival on roundtrip international flights, along with a customs declaration form upon arrival.

Cebu Pacific also reminds passengers of its baggage policy: one carry-on bag that fits in the overhead bin and one personal item are allowed, with a combined weight limit of 7 kilograms. The airline urges travelers to pre-purchase baggage online, up to two hours before departure, offering a cost savings compared to airport charges. Passengers can purchase up to three pieces of 20kg baggage, with options to add an extra 4kg, 8kg, or 12kg of weight allowance to each.

Self-tagging of check-in luggage is mandatory for passengers at select domestic destinations, including Bacolod, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Clark, Coron, Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, Manila, Puerto Princesa, Siargao, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Zamboanga. Self-bag drop kiosks are available at NAIA Terminal 3 and Clark International Airport.

Cebu Pacific currently serves 35 domestic and 27 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
