Budget airline airline Cebu Pacific illuminated Dubai’s Burj Khalifa on Saturday with a showcase of Philippine tourist destinations, becoming the first company from the Philippines to be featured on the world’s tallest building.
The display, titled “Fly to Happy, Fly to the Philippines,” highlighted several Philippine tourist spots including the beaches of Boracay, Palawan, and Cebu, along with landmarks such as Mayon Volcano, the Chocolate Hills, and Mt. Apo.
“We’re proud to share a piece of home on such a grand stage,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer. “This is a celebration of Philippine pride and an invitation for travelers to connect with the unique beauty, culture, and warmth that our country offers.”
The initiative coincides with the airline’s international seat sale running from November 22 to 30, offering discounted flights from various international destinations including Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, and the Middle East for travel periods in early 2025.
Cebu Pacific currently maintains operations to over 60 destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, with domestic hubs in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Iloilo, and Davao facilitating inter-island connectivity throughout the Philippines.
