Scoot, Singapore Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary, announced today it will launch new services to three Asian destinations starting December 2024, marking a significant expansion of its regional network.

The airline will begin operations to Phu Quoc, Vietnam, on December 20, 2024, initially with three weekly flights using Embraer E190-E2 aircraft. The frequency will increase to five weekly flights from January 25, 2025.

New routes to Padang, Indonesia, and Shantou, China, will commence on January 6 and January 16, 2025, respectively. Padang will receive four weekly services operated by E190-E2 aircraft, while Shantou will be served three times weekly using Airbus A320 family aircraft.

“We are happy to announce the introduction of flight services to Padang, Phu Quoc and Shantou, and hope to inspire more travelers to discover the diverse experiences our new destinations have to offer,” said Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer of Scoot.

The carrier is also adjusting frequencies across its network. Jakarta services will increase to 19 weekly flights from November 24, 2024, while Koh Samui flights will grow from 14 to 21 weekly frequencies starting December 20. Davao will see an increase from nine to 11 weekly services from December 17, and Vientiane will receive an additional weekly flight from February 9, 2025.

However, the airline will suspend operations to Nanchang, China, after February 14, 2025.

By January 2025, Scoot will operate 31 weekly flights to three Vietnamese cities, 84 weekly flights to 11 Indonesian destinations, and 89 weekly flights to 17 points in China.
