Dubai-based Emirates has opened its first Emirates World Store in Southeast Asia, marking a significant expansion of its retail strategy in the Philippines. The new store, located at Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, offers customers an immersive experience of the airline’s services and brand.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, highlighted the store’s purpose during the inauguration. “The new Emirates World Store in Manila is designed to serve as a one-stop shop where customers can explore Emirates’ products and services,” Kazim said.

The 221-square-meter retail destination features several innovative elements, including an Emirates A380 onboard Lounge display that provides visitors a preview of the airline’s in-flight luxury experience. Customers can browse Emirates-branded merchandise, travel accessories, and use interactive self-service screens to explore flight options.

According to Emirates, the store launch underscores its long-standing commitment to the Philippine market. The airline first entered the Philippines in 1990 and currently operates 28 weekly flights, offering approximately 22,700 weekly seats connecting travelers to over 140 destinations worldwide.

Last year, Emirates strengthened its regional presence by signing an interline agreement with Philippine Airlines, expanding connectivity to domestic and international points. This partnership allows customers increased travel options via Dubai to destinations including Amman, Birmingham, Cape Town, and others.

Emirates has previously launched similar retail spaces in Hong Kong, London, and Nairobi, with plans to progressively expand its retail network. The company expects to invest approximately AED 100 million in this retail strategy over the next three years.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including the First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos and UAE Ambassador to the Philippines Mohamed Obaid Alqataam Alzaao.
