Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will launch daily flights between Manila and Cauayan, Isabela starting January 15, 2025, offering a faster travel option for tourists, business travelers, and families. The new route will significantly reduce travel time compared to the 10-hour land journey.
“We will welcome 2025 with our new Manila-Cauayan-Manila service, commencing on January 15th, 2025,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang.
“Philippine Airlines looks forward to serving the people of Isabela province with our daily flights as our latest investment in building connectivity between key cities in Luzon for the benefit of local tourism and economic growth. We are grateful for the support of the local government of Isabela in making this venture possible, and we will do our best to extend PAL’s brand of Buong Pusong Alaga to our Cauayan-bound passengers.”
The flights will utilize 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft, departing from Manila’s NAIA Terminal 2 at 1:25 p.m. and arriving in Cauayan at 2:30 p.m. Return flights will depart Cauayan Airport at 3:25 p.m., arriving in Manila at 4:40 p.m.
The new route offers convenient connections to PAL’s wider domestic and international network from Manila, providing access to Isabela’s agricultural economy and cultural attractions.
At present, only budget airline Cebu Pacific operates direct flights between Manila and Cauayan. Cyclone Airways and Sky Pasada also operate flights to Isabela province’s gateway airport.
