Budget carrier Cebu Pacific has received three new aircraft deliveries this October as part of its ongoing fleet expansion program, marking significant progress in the carrier’s efforts to modernize its fleet ahead of the holiday travel season.
The latest additions include two Airbus A321neo aircraft (RP-C4145 and RP-C4147) manufactured at the Airbus facility in Tianjin, China, and one Airbus A320ceo (RP-C4262). The A321neos were delivered on October 23 and 30, while the A320ceo joined the fleet on October 28 following a delivery flight from Lake City, Florida, through Victoria, Anchorage, and Sapporo.
“We’re excited to expand our fleet with these additional aircraft ahead of the peak travel season in December. These deliveries are a key part of our continuous efforts to expand routes and enhance our service, allowing us to better serve the increasing number of travelers,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer.
The new deliveries bring the total number of aircraft received by the airline this year to 15, with three more expected to arrive before year-end to complete its target of 18 deliveries for 2024.
The expansion comes shortly after Cebu Pacific’s announcement of a historic purchase agreement with Airbus and Pratt & Whitney for up to 152 A321neo aircraft, valued at approximately $24 billion.
Cebu Pacific’s fleet now consists of nine Airbus A330s, 40 Airbus A320s, 24 Airbus A321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft.
