Several airlines are set to relocate their operations within the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) complex as part of ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and accommodate renovation plans.

Cebu Pacific announced that its low-cost subsidiary, Cebgo, will transfer all flights from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2 effective November 7, 2024. The move affects routes connecting Manila to various domestic destinations, including Busuanga (Coron), Caticlan (Boracay), Cebu, Legazpi, Masbate, Naga, San Jose, Siargao, and Surigao.

In a related development, boutique airline AirSWIFT revealed plans to relocate its operations to Terminal 2 starting November 5, 2024. This announcement comes as AirSWIFT is in the process of being acquired by Cebu Pacific from ALI Capital, Inc.

These changes are part of a broader initiative led by the New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC), which assumed control of NAIA operations last month. The NNIC says it wants to streamline airport operations and implement long-term improvements.

According to ABS-CBN News, Terminal 4 is scheduled for temporary closure next month to undergo renovation, with a potential reopening slated for next year. However, the NNIC has stated that most airlines will continue to operate from their current terminals in the immediate future.

Both Cebu Pacific and AirSWIFT have expressed support for NNIC’s long-term vision. “CEB fully supports the long-term vision of the NNIC and we will continue to work with our partners, so plans are executed smoothly,” Cebu Pacific stated in its advisory.

Cebu Pacific advised passengers to update their contact details through the airline’s website to receive timely flight reminders and updates. The carrier also recommended that travelers check their terminal assignments in advance and allow extra time for airport travel.

On its end, AirSWIFT assured its customers that revised e-tickets reflecting the terminal change would be issued, enabling passengers to prepare accordingly.

For further assistance, AirSWIFT customers can contact the airline’s reservation associates at +63 917 816 8763, (02) 5318 5940, or via email at info@air-swift.com.

As these changes take effect, passengers are reminded to stay alert for any additional updates from their respective airlines and NAIA management.
