Sunlight Air is set to resume its Manila to Busuanga (Coron) route on October 27, 2024, operating daily flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 2. The move marks the airline’s return to Manila after a six-month absence.
Ryna Brito-Garcia, CEO of Sunlight Air, stated, “The MNL-USU route has always been in demand among our passengers since it was Sunlight Air’s first route when it launched. We are excited to be able to offer more passengers access to one of the Philippines’ top destinations.”
To promote the route’s relaunch, Sunlight Air is offering one-way tickets starting at PHP 688 for travel between October 27, 2024, and March 29, 2025. These fares are available through the airline’s website.
Busuanga, part of the Calamian Islands in northern Palawan, is known for attractions such as Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon, and Maquinit Hot Spring. The island serves as a gateway to Coron, a municipality popular among tourists for its beaches and diving sites.
The airline currently operates daily flights to Busuanga from Clark and Cebu, having transported over 26,000 passengers to the island since April 2024.
Sunlight Air first flew between Manila and Busuanga late-December 2020.
The resumption of the Manila-Busuanga route comes after Sunlight Air transferred all of its operations from Manila to Clark in April this year, citing improved facilities at Clark International Airport.
Sunlight Air operates a fleet of ATR 72-500 aircraft and serves several domestic destinations in the Philippines, including Siargao, Boracay, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro.
