Philippine Airlines (PAL) is set to make significant changes to its Cambodia service for the Northern Winter 2024/25 season, first reported by AeroRoutes.com.
Starting October 29, 2024, the flag carrier will transfer its Manila-Phnom Penh route operations to its subsidiary, PAL Express, while maintaining the current four-times-weekly flight frequency.
PAL Express will continue to operate the route using Airbus A321 aircraft, the same type currently employed by Philippine Airlines.
The flight schedule remains unchanged:
- PR-2621 departs Manila at 22:15, arriving in Phnom Penh at 00:15 the next day (excluding Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays)
- PR-2622 leaves Phnom Penh at 01:05, reaching Manila at 04:50 (excluding Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays)
This move marks a significant milestone for PAL Express, as it represents the airline’s first scheduled international route for a while.
Historically, PAL Express operated flights to various international destinations, including China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Saipan, Singapore, South Korea, and Dubai.
