Philippine Airlines (PAL) has renewed its partnership with the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) to support Filipino World War II veterans, the national flag carrier announced on September 4, 2024.

The agreement, signed through PAL’s corporate social responsibility arm, PAL Foundation, focuses on facilitating the free transport of wheelchairs and other supplies for veterans and their dependents in the provinces.

The collaboration aligns with PAL’s service philosophy of “Buong Pusong Alaga” (wholehearted care), according to the airline.

Officials from both organizations were present during the loading of the first batch of wheelchairs destined for Cagayan de Oro at the PAL Cargo Terminal in Pasay.

Attendees included Lilian Aquitania, Senior Veterans Assistance Officer, and Liza T. Dela Cruz, Supervising Veterans Assistance Officer and Officer-In-Charge of the Veterans Affairs Management Division (VAMD) from PVAO.

Representing PAL were Jason Siy, VP for Cargo Business, and Pinky Mag-iba Balagtas, PAL Foundation Head.
