Delta Air Lines will introduce its first-ever nonstop service from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) to Seoul-Incheon International Airport (ICN) on June 12, 2025. The daily, year-round route will be operated using Airbus A350-900 aircraft.

This new service marks Delta’s fifth direct U.S. route to Seoul, joining existing flights from Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and Seattle. The SLC-ICN route will be the only direct flight connecting Salt Lake City to Asia.

Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, said, “The launch of Salt Lake City to Seoul service offers customers convenient access to Delta’s growing global network and ensures that virtually all U.S. demand is connected to Seoul via nonstop or one-stop service.”

The new route is expected to bolster Delta’s position as the largest carrier at Salt Lake City, where it currently operates nearly 250 peak-day departures to over 90 destinations worldwide. This expansion comes as part of ongoing investments in SLC’s infrastructure, including the 2020 opening of a 900,000-square-foot concourse featuring 50 Delta gates.

Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox commented on the route’s potential impact: “As we open this new gateway to Asia, I am excited to expand Utah’s global reach and foster new cultural and business partnerships.”

Passengers on the route will have access to Delta’s premium travel offerings, including Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin experiences. The airline is also expanding its free Wi-Fi service, with plans to offer it on its entire global fleet by the end of next year.

Flight DL173 will depart Salt Lake City at 11:05 a.m. and arrive in Seoul at 3:20 p.m. the following day. The return flight, DL172, will leave Seoul at 7:40 p.m. and land in Salt Lake City at 4:15 p.m. the same day.
