Cebu Pacific cancels flights due to Typhoon Julian

Cebu Pacific has cancelled several flights scheduled for September 30, 2024, due to the expected impact of Typhoon Julian (International name: Krathon) on flight operations.

The cancelled flights include:

  • 5J 196/197: Manila – Cauayan – Manila
  • 5J 504/505: Manila – Tuguegarao – Manila
  • 5J 506/507: Manila – Tuguegarao – Manila

Affected passengers have been notified via email and provided with options through the airline’s Manage Booking portal. These options include free rebooking, travel fund, or a full refund.

“We appeal for your patience and understanding as we work towards normalizing our operations as soon as possible,” Cebu Pacific said in a travel advisory.

The airline is also offering flexible options for passengers with flights to and from Laoag, Kaohsiung, and Taipei from September 30 to October 2, 2024, and to and from Cauayan and Tuguegarao from October 1 to 2, 2024. These passengers can avail themselves of free rebooking or a travel fund up to two hours before their scheduled departure time.

As the situation develops, Cebu Pacific warns that additional flight changes may occur. Passengers are advised to check their flight status on the airline’s website and update their contact details to receive notifications.
