AirAsia Group has once again been recognized as a seven-star airline by AirlineRatings.com, maintaining its commitment to safety and operational excellence.

This recertification comes as the airline group continues to expand its operations and provide safe and reliable air travel for millions of passengers worldwide.

The airline group’s sustained seven-star rating is a testament to its dedication to safety across all operations.

According to AirAsia, the achievement is driven by key initiatives, including extensive employee training, a highly experienced engineering team, and rigorous maintenance procedures.

AirAsia says it maintains a robust internal safety management system (SMS) and corporate governance structure, ensuring compliance with the highest global safety standards.

“The AirAsia Group had achieved an excellent safety rating under our enhanced rating criteria and were performing almost flawlessly,” said AirlineRatings.com Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Thomas.

“The AirAsia Group’s on-time performance rate is tracking well, the incident rate is almost non-existent and the airline’s safety performance is extremely impressive.”

AirAsia Aviation Group’s Group CEO Bo Lingam expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “This acknowledgment further supports our growth strategy, as we remain dedicated to being one of the top low-cost carriers globally, delivering safe and reliable air travel for our guests.”

He added that safety is always the top priority for the airline group, which is reflected in its commitment to continuous improvement.

“Safety is always at the core of every decision we make, shaping our brand’s integrity and reputation,” shared AirAsia Philippines CEO, Ricky Isla.

“This recognition will only push us to continuously improve and deliver the safe, reliable, and cost-efficient service so our guests can continue to fly with confidence, knowing they are in the best hands.”

The recertification follows a number of wins in 2024 for AirAsia Group, including Best Low-Cost Airline Skytrax for 15 consecutive years and World Travel Awards Best Low-Cost Airline Asia/Best Low-Cost Cabin Crew Asia for nine and eight years in a row respectively.
