Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced plans to introduce a special Disney-themed aircraft for domestic flights starting in late October.

The “JAL Fantastic Journey Express” will feature designs inspired by the new Fantasy Springs themed port at Tokyo DisneySea, which opened in June 2024.

The Boeing 767-300ER aircraft will be decorated with characters from Disney animated films including “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan,” set against backdrops of Fantasy Springs attractions.

The exterior design showcases Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel and Peter Pan alongside iconic elements like Arendelle Castle and the Jolly Roger pirate ship.

“This marks the sixth collaboration since JAL first teamed up with Tokyo DisneySea when it opened in 2001,” the airline stated in a press release.

Inside the plane, passengers will find themed headrest covers and paper cups. JAL will also play Disney music during boarding and deplaning on these flights.

The special livery is scheduled to operate on domestic routes from late October 2024 through November 2025, though exact flight schedules have not been announced.

This promotion coincides with JAL’s ongoing “Happy Dream Campaign 2024,” which offers travelers chances to win prizes including invitations to exclusive events at Tokyo DisneySea.

The Fantasy Springs expansion at Tokyo DisneySea, which debuted on June 6, features three new themed areas and a Disney hotel. It is described as “the only themed port of its kind in the world.”
