Etihad Airways announced today it will begin operating its Airbus A380 aircraft between Abu Dhabi and Singapore starting February 1, 2025. The airline also revealed plans to increase flight frequencies to Thailand, offering three daily flights to Bangkok and 20 weekly flights to Phuket beginning October 27, 2024.

Singapore will become the fourth city to be served by Etihad’s A380, joining London, New York, and Paris, which will see A380 service starting November 1, 2024. This will bring the total number of operational A380s in Etihad’s fleet to six by early 2025.

We are thrilled to announce that our iconic A380 aircraft will begin serving the Singapore route early next year.

Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad Airways Chief Executive Officer

“This aircraft provides our business and leisure travelers with an exceptional flying experience and seamless connections to our Middle East, European, and North American networks,” Neves added.

The A380 offers a range of cabin classes, from Economy to The Residence, the world’s only three-room suite on a commercial airliner. The increased capacity on the Singapore route aims to meet growing travel demand.

Regarding the Thailand expansion, Neves stated, “We will have our sixth A380 online next year as we build our capacity further to cater for the travel needs of our guests.”

The increased frequencies to Bangkok and Phuket are designed to provide travelers with more flexibility and convenience.

Passengers traveling with Etihad can book flights on etihad.com and take advantage of a complimentary stopover in Abu Dhabi. This allows travelers to extend their trip and enjoy a free stay for up to two nights at a participating hotel in the UAE’s capital city.
