Cebu Pacific announced flexible booking options for passengers with flights departing from Davao City on August 26, 2024, due to ongoing demonstrations affecting access to Francisco Bangoy International Airport.

The airline is offering free rebooking and travel fund options for passengers who wish to postpone their flights. These options are available through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website up to two hours before the scheduled departure time.

The affected flights eligible for these options are:

  • DG 6673: Davao – Zamboanga
  • DG 6872: Davao – Siargao
  • 5J 962: Davao – Manila

“Our immediate priority is to ensure the safety of our passengers, crew and staff,” Cebu Pacific stated in a travel advisory. The airline advised passengers to allow extra time for their journey to the airport, warning of potential longer travel times due to the demonstrations.

As the situation continues to develop, Cebu Pacific cautioned that additional flight changes may occur. Passengers are encouraged to check their flight status on the airline’s website and update their contact details to receive email notifications about flight reminders and updates.

For further assistance, passengers can contact Cebu Pacific through Charlie the chatbot on their website or via the airline’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The airline promised to provide further updates as the situation evolves.

Earlier, the airport’s entrance and exit were blocked off from vehicular traffic due to the ongoing demonstrators. This has since been resolved, prompting the closure of the main exit gate and the usage of the main entrance gate as both vehicular entry and exit points.

Flight operations remain normal at the airport.
