Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Tuesday announced the expansion of its Davao hub with the reintroduction of four routes from Mindanao’s main gateway.
Beginning October 27, the low-cost carrier will link Davao with daily flights to both Caticlan (Boracay) and Puerto Princesa. Meanwhile, thrice-weekly flights to Tacloban is set to commence on October 29.
The airline previously operated flights to Puerto Princesa and Tacloban years prior. Cebu Pacific also flew to Kalibo, another gateway to Boracay, until 2013.
Notably, Cebu Pacific is also reintroducing international flights out of the city with a new connection to Bangkok (Don Mueang) beginning October 28, which will fly three times weekly.
Flights to all these destinations operate aboard Cebu Pacific’s Airbus A320 fleet.
“We are excited to restore international flights and operate additional domestic routes from our hub in Mindanao. Through Cebu Pacific’s extensive network and value-for-money fares, more travelers from Davao will now be able to discover what the Philippines and the rest of the world has to offer,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer.
Cebu Pacific is offering introductory fares to the four new destinations for as low as PHP 1 until August 15, or until seats last.
