AirAsia Philippines offers ₱127 base fare in new promotion

AirAsia Philippines has announced a new promotion offering one-way base fares starting at ₱127 for domestic and select international flights. The “Rain or Shine Let’s Fly and Go” promotion is available for booking until September 1, with travel dates from this week through March 31, 2025.

The promotion includes all AirAsia Philippines destinations, including its recently launched route to Nagoya, Japan. This fare sale comes as the airline anticipates increased travel demand during the upcoming long weekend.

“As a pioneer and leader in low-cost travel, we’re thrilled to turn our guests’ travel plans into a reality with our lowest fare offering in time for the long weekend where most Filipinos are expected to take advantage of,” said First Officer Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head.

The airline reports that from January to August 2024, it has flown over 5 million passengers, with 85% of bookings made through various promotional fares. AirAsia Philippines aims to reach 8 million passengers by the end of 2024, operating 165 domestic and 71 international weekly flights.

In addition to the promotion, the airline expects a positive impact on bookings due to the reduction of the Fuel Surcharge from Level 6 to Level 5 for September. This change is anticipated to decrease fuel surcharge costs by ₱800 for international flights and ₱542 for domestic flights.

“Filipinos are always on the lookout for discounts. Any budget saved from airfares can be used as an additional budget for hotels, restaurants, activities, or souvenirs,” Dailisan added.

AirAsia Philippines reminds passengers of its cabin baggage policy, which allows a complimentary 7kg hand-carry allowance. This can be a combination of a small hand-carry item and a backpack or small luggage.
