AirAsia Philippines is partnering with JT’s Manukan Grille to offer passengers the chance to enjoy Bacolod Chicken Inasal at 30,000 feet. The partnership, announced July 30, follows the success of the airline’s “Airline of the Stars” campaign, which highlighted Philippine destinations through collaborations with celebrities.

The collaboration with JT’s Manukan Grille, known for its award-winning chicken inasal recognized by TasteAtlas as the 5th Best Chicken Dish in the World, aims to showcase Filipino cuisine to a wider audience.

“Following our 15th Skytrax win as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline, AirAsia Philippines is always committed to giving our guests the best value while also supporting local entrepreneurs,” AirAsia CEO Ricky Isla said.

“We have started bringing the spirit of Filipino craftsmanship on board through partnerships with local artisans, offering guests Pinoy-made jewelry and apparels. This time, we want to elevate their in-flight experience to satisfy our guests gastronomically with JT’s Bacolod Chicken Inasal.”

The partnership aligns with AirAsia’s goal of providing affordable, clean, joyful, and delicious dining options through its Halal-certified in-flight menu under the Santan brand.

“We are delighted to partner with AirAsia Philippines as this will give us a chance to showcase our Chicken Inasal to travelers from all over the world”, JT’s Manukan and Grille CEO Joel Torre said.

Passengers can pre-book the JT’s Bacolod Chicken Inasal meal for PHP 200.00 through airasia.com and the AirAsia MOVE app. The meal, which can be paired with other Filipino beverage options, became available on July 23. AirAsia plans to introduce more Filipino dishes to its Santan menu in the future.
