Singapore Airlines (SIA) announced plans to commence daily flights between Singapore and Beijing’s Daxing International Airport starting November 11, 2024, subject to regulatory approvals.

The new service will operate alongside increased frequencies to Beijing Capital International Airport, bringing SIA’s total weekly flights to China’s capital to 28.

The inaugural flight SQ-810 is scheduled to depart Singapore at 00:30 local time on November 11, arriving at Daxing at 06:35 local time. The return flight, SQ-811, will depart Beijing Daxing at 09:25 local time, landing in Singapore at 15:50 local time.

SIA will deploy its Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner aircraft on this route, featuring 36 Business Class and 301 Economy Class seats.

Dai Haoyu, Acting Senior Vice President Marketing Planning at Singapore Airlines, stated, “China is a key market for the Singapore Airlines Group. This new flight to Beijing Daxing allows SIA to offer an additional daily service to Beijing, a popular destination for both tourist and business travellers.”

Kong Yue, Vice President of Beijing Daxing International Airport, noted, “Singapore Airlines is the first foreign airline to operate services from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Singapore. We believe the inception of Singapore Airlines at Beijing Daxing International Airport will bring about a renewed sense of energy and opportunities.”

In addition to the new Daxing service, SIA will increase its frequencies to Beijing Capital International Airport from 18 to 21 weekly services starting August 5, 2024.

The expansion reflects the SIA Group’s focus on the Chinese market. Including flights operated by its low-cost subsidiary Scoot, the group will serve 24 destinations in mainland China by November 2024.

Tickets for the new Beijing Daxing services will be available for purchase through various distribution channels starting June 24, 2024.
