Emirates has appointed Jassem Al Mulla as the new Cargo Manager for the Philippines, effective immediately. In this role, Al Mulla will oversee Emirates’ cargo operations in the country, focusing on developing the cargo sector and supporting the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Al Mulla brings over a decade of experience with Emirates, having joined the company in 2009 as part of the UAE National program in IT. He played a key role in developing the Emirates Group Safety application, streamlining security protocols across the network. Before taking on his new role, he served as Cargo Manager in both Morocco and Jordan.

“It is an exciting time for cargo in the Philippines. With the country’s ongoing investment in improving the logistics infrastructure along with the growing demand for local exports, we are seeing an increased demand for specialized air cargo services and connectivity to key markets,” said Al Mulla.

“I look forward to working with the local team to ensure Emirates SkyCargo helps maintain the country’s momentum post-pandemic, supporting local businesses export their goods across the globe,” he added.

The Philippines is a crucial market for Emirates SkyCargo, handling significant shipments of fresh produce, garments, and electronics.

Emirates SkyCargo operates flights to 140 destinations through its hub in Dubai, utilizing its fleet of Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft, as well as dedicated freighters, to provide international cargo services.
