Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific announced the expansion of its hub in Cebu with the addition of two new destinations: Masbate in the Philippines and Bangkok, Thailand.

Starting October 25, 2024, Cebu Pacific will operate three weekly flights between Cebu and Masbate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The new inter-island route will provide travelers access to Masbate’s renowned white sand beaches, such as those on Ticao and Burias Islands, as well as the marine life at Manta Bowl Shoal.

The airline is also launching a thrice-weekly service between Cebu and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport, commencing on October 2, 2024. This marks Cebu Pacific’s first direct flight from Cebu to Bangkok, a city it has served from Manila since 2006.

The Cebu-Don Mueang flights operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, aboard the airline’s Airbus A320neo fleet.

Last month, the airline announced the resumption of the Manila-Don Mueang service beginning July 16, 2024. This service is on top of the current Manila-Bangkok flights flying twice-daily.

To promote the new routes, Cebu Pacific is offering a PHP 1 one-way base fare sale until June 13, 2024, for travel from Cebu to Masbate between October 25, 2024, and March 29, 2025, and to Bangkok from October 2 to October 25, 2024.

The budget carrier currently serves 35 domestic and 25 international destinations across Asia, Australia and the Middle East from its hubs in Manila, Clark and Cebu.
