Budget carrier AirAsia Philippines announced a “Piso Sale” promotion on Friday, offering one-way base fares starting at PHP1 for select domestic routes and from PHP1 to PHP2,811 for international flights.

The sale, running from June 8 to 16, covers travel dates from Sept. 2, 2024, to Oct. 8, 2025.

The budget carrier aims to support travel plans despite challenges like a Level 6 fuel surcharge, inflation, and a weakening peso.

“We are on a full throttle to support our guests’ travel plans this H2 2024. Amidst various challenges such as the Level 6 Fuel Surcharge, inflation, and the weakening Peso, we are committed to provide the best deals to our guests by offering the lowest airfares and other affordable deals such as hotels and other activities which are available through our AirAsia MOVE app,” said Steve Dailisan, AirAsia’s Head of Communications and Public Affairs.

Routes from Manila, Clark, and Cebu to various domestic destinations are included in the promotion. International flights from Manila to 11 destinations are also on offer.

AirAsia will launch the sale at Manila’s Mall of Asia on June 8.

The airline is also promoting discounted hotel stays through its MOVE app, with a second room priced at PHP110 and an additional PHP600 discount using the code “CRAZY DEAL.”

“This remains our commitment as we strive to return to our pre-pandemic operations before the end of 2024,” Dailisan added.

The carrier, which has flown over 3 million passengers this year, aims to triple that figure by the end of 2024.
