Emirates today announced the initial nine destinations that will be served by its new Airbus A350 aircraft entering service in September 2024. With 10 A350s expected to join the fleet by March 2025, the airline plans a rapid roll-out to these cities over the coming months.

“The A350 will be a game-changer for Emirates, enabling us to serve regional points with superior operating efficiency and flexibility across the Middle East and GCC, West Asia and Europe.”

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates Airline

The first A350 destination will be Bahrain on the EK839/840 daily service starting September 15th. Other Middle East routes getting the A350 include Kuwait City (Sep 16), Muscat (Dec 1), Mumbai (Oct 27), Ahmedabad (Oct 27) and Colombo (Jan 1, 2025).

In Europe, the A350 will fly to Lyon (Dec 1), Bologna (Dec 1) and relaunch service to Edinburgh on November 4th after a hiatus.

The A350s will be configured with 32 Business, 21 Premium Economy and 259 Economy seats. This expands Emirates’ Premium Economy product to dozens of new regional routes.

“With the latest generation cabin products including more of our sought-after Premium Economy to more cities, top-notch in-flight entertainment technologies and an abundance of other customer-friendly features, the Emirates A350 builds on our long-standing commitment of investing in the very best customer experience in the sky,” added Kazim.

The airline has 65 A350-900s on firm order to support future growth aligned with Dubai’s economic agenda.

Tickets for the inaugural A350 routes go on sale today through Emirates’ website, app and travel agents.
