Delta Air Lines on Friday revealed a special Airbus A350 aircraft dedicated to Team USA in Toulouse, France. The unveiling coincides with Delta’s recognition of its top 100 employees, known as the Chairman’s Club, who were flown to France to witness the event.

The Team USA-themed A350, designed by Delta’s in-house creative team, showcases the airline’s commitment as the official carrier for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams through the 2028 Los Angeles Games. The design incorporates patriotic red, white, and blue colors, prominently displaying “Team USA” on the aircraft’s side.

“This plane, designed by our in-house creative team, represents Delta’s commitment to Team USA and our partnership to elevate these athletes to reach their highest potential,” said Delta Chief Marketing Officer Alicia Tillman.

The design pays homage to the journey towards the Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics, incorporating the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower. This detail evolves from the jet stream design featured on the Team USA aircraft for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games.

“Being able to see the big reveal after the curtain drop was so exciting,” said Alessandra Rabellino, the lead designer from Delta’s internal brand design team. “But what is even more special is being part of this occasion alongside the Chairman’s Club Honorees who have such a big impact on our company – it’s a true honor.”

The Chairman’s Club comprises employees nominated by their peers and senior leaders for exemplifying Delta’s brand values. This year, these top performers were given the unique opportunity to unveil the new aircraft and be the first to fly on it back to Atlanta.

“Celebrating this moment alongside our 2023 Chairman’s Club Honorees is only fitting as Delta’s people and Team USA work diligently each day to bring the best of themselves to their work,” said Gina Laughlin, Delta’s VP of Global Communications.

Delta’s partnership with Team USA extends beyond transportation. The airline also supports 15 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes as ambassadors, aiding them in their journey to the Paris Games. This roster includes renowned athletes like Allyson Felix, Gabby Thomas, and Brad Snyder.

Delta’s dedication to the Olympic and Paralympic movement reflects the airline’s values of excellence, connecting people, and striving to be the best.
