Starting June 17, 2024, Vietnam Airlines will bridge the gap between the Philippines and Vietnam with the introduction of direct flights connecting Manila to both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

This move marks a significant milestone as it establishes Vietnam Airlines as the first Vietnamese carrier to offer direct air travel to the Philippines’ capital city.

The new routes will operate as follows:

  • Manila-Hanoi: Three weekly flights will be available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
  • Manila-Ho Chi Minh City: Four weekly flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Both routes will be flown using Vietnam Airlines’ Airbus A321-200 aircraft.

“This milestone not only expands our global flight network but also strengthens economic and diplomatic ties by linking Manila to the capital city of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City – the leading economic centers in Southeast Asia.”

This development is expected to bolster tourism and trade between the two nations, offering easier access to Vietnam’s vibrant cultural hubs and economic centers.

Travelers can now book their flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City from Manila through Vietnam Airlines’ official website, mobile app, local ticket offices, and authorized travel agents.
