In anticipation of the busy Eid al-Fitr travel period, Emirates Airlines has announced the addition of 19 flights across several regional destinations.

“This year, more than 150,000 customers are expected to fly with the airline during Eid Al Fitr across the region,” the airline stated in a press release.

The significant number of passengers that are anticipated to fly on Emirates’ network prompted the increase of flight frequency and capacity to Jeddah, Kuwait, Beirut, and Amman.

Jeddah will see the most significant boost, with seven additional flights scheduled between April 7th and 13th. This expansion aims to provide travelers with greater flexibility for popular destinations like Dubai, London, and the Maldives, as well as connections to Colombo and Karachi.

Kuwait will receive six extra flights between April 7th and 20th, catering to the high demand for travel to leisure destinations like Dubai, Bangkok, and Osaka. Additionally, these flights will offer convenient options for those returning home to Chennai, Hyderabad, Sialkot, and Peshawar.

Emirates also plans to increase its Bahrain service to 22 weekly flights starting May 2nd, to accommodate the rising travel demand to and from the Kingdom.

Recognizing the importance of family reunions during Eid al-Fitr, the airline has also scheduled four additional flights to Amman and two to Beirut.

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday and its Middle Eastern heritage, Emirates will offer a special Eid menu on flights departing from Dubai. Passengers can enjoy traditional favorites such as chicken biryani, lamb kibbeh labanieh, machbous, and vanilla and rose mousse cake.

Furthermore, the airline’s inflight entertainment system, ice, will feature a wide array of content for travelers, including over 6,500 on-demand entertainment channels and more than 2,000 movies. This selection includes over 100 Arabic films and 46 channels of Arabic TV series, ensuring passengers have ample entertainment options during their journeys.
