Budget airline Cebu Pacific has signed a three-year agreement with The Vanguard Academy to provide work immersion opportunities for senior high school students and young adults with special abilities.

The partnership aims to promote diversity and inclusivity in the workplace by offering these individuals a chance to gain hands-on experience and showcase their talents at Cebu Pacific.

“We believe that every Juan deserves equal opportunities to succeed.”

Felix Lopez, Cebu Pacific’s Chief Human Resources Officer

Lopez added: “By partnering with The Vanguard Academy, we hope to create a more inclusive society where all individuals are given the opportunity to showcase their talents and make meaningful contributions to the workforce.”

Ericson Perez, School Head of The Vanguard Academy, a learning institution that supports students of all abilities, welcomed the collaboration.

“With companies like Cebu Pacific joining the movement for inclusive workplaces, we are motivated to prepare more students for gainful employment,” he stated.

The first batch of interns from the academy has already commenced their placements at Cebu Pacific.

Over the years, Cebu Pacific has implemented initiatives to foster community building, celebrate diversity, and create an inclusive workspace for its employees.

The airline, which operates across 35 domestic and 24 international routes in Asia, Australia and the Middle East, remains committed to promoting a culture of acceptance within its workforce.

The move by Cebu Pacific aligns with the global push for greater workplace inclusion and providing equal employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities or special needs.
