Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has proudly announced the arrival of its fourth aircraft delivery for the year 2024. The newly acquired Airbus A320-271N, registered as RP-C4135, is a testament to the airline’s ongoing commitment to expanding its fleet and enhancing its services.
The Airbus A320-271N, manufactured in Tianjin, China, touched down at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. This aircraft is capable of accommodating up to 188 passengers in a single class configuration and offers significant fuel savings.
According to Alex Reyes, Chief Strategy Officer at Cebu Pacific, the additional aircraft will help the carrier meet the robust demand for air travel while furthering its commitment to sustainable aviation practices.
“This aircraft delivery supports our goal of providing safe, reliable, and affordable flights as the demand for air travel remains strong. We also continue to incorporate sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in our operations as part of our decarbonization efforts,” Reyes stated.
Earlier, the low-cost carrier had set an ambitious target to operate an active fleet of 91 aircraft by the end of the year. This goal aligns with their strategy to expand their reach and improve their services.
As of now, Cebu Pacific operates a diverse fleet of aircraft, including eight Airbus A330, 34 Airbus A320, 21 Airbus A321, and 14 ATR 72-600 aircraft.
