The Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City temporarily suspended runway operations for four hours on April 13, 2024, to accommodate necessary repairs.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) B0950/24, indicating the closure would take place from 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM for asphalt overlay repairs on the runway.

Data from FlightRadar24.com showed five departures and one arrival scheduled during the closure period. These flights are expected to experience delays until the runway reopens at 4:00 AM.

Earlier this month, CAAP also issued a temporary runway closure at Tacloban Airport to perform emergency runway repairs, which led to the cancellation of several domestic flights.

UPDATE: As of 4:00 AM, flight operations have resumed in Davao. The first flight to land was PAL Express flight 2P-2807 from Manila at 3:58 AM.
