Pagadian Airport will be temporarily closed from April 15 to May 15, 2024 to allow for repair and rehabilitation of the airport’s runway.

The closure is per NOTAM C0210/24, which states: “RWY 02/20 CLSD DUE WIP (REPAIR OF RWY)” with the runway works commencing on April 15 at 7:00 AM and concluding on May 15 at 3:00 PM.

To accommodate passengers during the closure, Philippine Airlines (PAL) will reroute its Manila-Pagadian-Manila flights to operate between Manila and the nearby Dipolog Airport instead.

“Dipolog will serve as an alternate gateway for passengers traveling to and from the Pagadian area,” the airline stated in its press release.

PAL provided the following rerouted flight schedules to and from Dipolog:

  • 2P2553 Manila – Dipolog (Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays) – Departing 11:20 AM
  • 2P2554 Dipolog – Manila (Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays) – Departing 3:10 PM
  • 2P2553 Manila – Dipolog (Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays/Sundays) – Departing 11:20 AM
  • 2P2554 Dipolog – Manila (Tuesdays/Thursdays/Saturdays/Sundays) – Departing 1:55 PM

Affected passengers have the option to reroute to another flight within 60 days from the original travel date in the same booking class or higher cabin class, subject to availability.

PAL advised passengers to use its hotlines, messaging platforms like Messenger and Viber, WhatsApp, or the myPAL web chat for rebooking and further assistance during this period.

Meanwhile, low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has not released any travel advisories regarding the unexpected closure of the aerodrome as of yet.
