Christophe Blanc, Vice President and General Manager of Aircraft Seating for Collins Aerospace, said:

Adding main cabin seating production to our Philippines facility is a critical milestone in the future of Collins’ seating business.

The Tanauan City site’s seating capacity is projected to triple over the course of 2024, with deliveries planned for 14 different customers across various aircraft manufacturers for both new deliveries and retrofit programs.

Opened in 2012, the Philippine facility currently manufactures galleys, galley inserts, oxygen equipment, and lavatories in addition to the newly added seating line. The ramp up in seat production provides greater regional support for customers in the Asia-Pacific market.

Collins Aerospace, with 80,000 employees globally, specializes in aerospace and defense technologies including avionics, interiors, mechanical systems, mission systems, and power and control systems. Its parent company RTX had $68.9 billion in sales in 2023 and is one of the world’s largest aerospace and defense firms.
